Connect Your Exchange

Connect your exchange account to enable real trading with Mayson.

Not required for paper trading! You can use Mayson’s paper trading feature without connecting an exchange. This section is for users who want to execute real trades.

How to Connect

Navigate to Settings

Go to Settings → API Keys in the Mayson app, or say:


Take me to API key settings

Click “Add Exchange”

Select the exchange you want to connect from the list.

Create API Keys on Your Exchange

Follow our exchange-specific guides to create API keys:

Enter Your Credentials

Paste your API Key and Secret Key into Mayson.

Click “Connect”

Mayson will verify the connection and show your exchange as connected.

Critical: Follow these security practices to protect your funds.

API Key Permissions

Read/View	✅ Yes	Required to see balances
Spot Trading	✅ Yes	Required to execute trades
Withdrawals	❌ NO	Mayson never needs this
Futures	Optional	Only if you want futures

Additional Security

IP Whitelisting — Restrict API access to specific IPs if your exchange supports it
Regular Rotation — Change your API keys periodically
Monitor Activity — Check your exchange’s API activity logs

How Mayson Protects Your Keys

Your API keys are protected with enterprise-grade security:

🚫 Never Plain Text — We never store or log your keys in readable form
🔑 Separate Key Management — Encryption keys managed separately from data

Testing Your Connection

After connecting, verify everything works:


Show my exchange balances

Mayson should display your holdings from the connected exchange.

Troubleshooting

”API Key Invalid” Error

Verify you copied the entire key (no spaces)
Check that the API key is active on your exchange
Ensure permissions are set correctly

”IP Not Whitelisted” Error

If you enabled IP restrictions, you may need to whitelist Mayson’s servers
Contact support for our current IP addresses

”Insufficient Permissions” Error

Ensure “Spot Trading” permission is enabled
Some exchanges require additional verification for trading
