Binance Setup

Connect your Binance account to Mayson.

Prerequisites

  • âś… Binance account with completed verification
  • âś… 2FA enabled on your Binance account

Step-by-Step Guide

Log in to Binance

Go to binance.com  and log in to your account.

  1. Click on your profile icon in the top right
  2. Select “API Management” from the dropdown
  3. Or go directly to: binance.com/en/my/settings/api-management

Create a New API Key

  1. Enter a label for your API key (e.g., “Mayson Trading”)
  2. Click “Create API”
  3. Complete the security verification (2FA)

Configure Permissions

Set the following permissions:

Important: Never enable withdrawal permissions. Mayson does not need this permission and it’s a security risk.

For enhanced security, you can restrict API access to specific IP addresses:

  1. Select “Restrict access to trusted IPs only”
  2. Add Mayson’s server IP addresses (contact support for current IPs)
  3. Or leave unrestricted if you’re not sure

Copy Your Credentials

After creation, you’ll see:

  • API Key: A long string of letters and numbers
  • Secret Key: Click “Show” to reveal (only visible once!)

Save your Secret Key now! Binance only shows it once. If you lose it, you’ll need to create a new API key.

Connect to Mayson

  1. Go to Settings → API Keys in Mayson
  2. Click “Add Exchange” → “Binance”
  3. Paste your API Key
  4. Paste your Secret Key
  5. Click “Connect”

Verify Connection

Mayson will test the connection. If successful, you’ll see:

Your Binance account is now linked to Mayson. You can:

  • View your Binance portfolio
  • Execute trades through conversation
  • Set up DCA plans

Say “Show my Binance balance” to get started.

Troubleshooting

”Invalid API Key” Error

  • Verify you copied the entire API key (no extra spaces)
  • Check that the API key is active in Binance
  • Ensure you’re using the correct key pair

”Permission Denied” Error

  • Verify “Enable Spot & Margin Trading” is checked
  • Make sure the API key restrictions allow access

”IP Not Allowed” Error

  • If you set IP restrictions, your IP may have changed
  • Add your new IP or Mayson’s server IPs
  • Or disable IP restrictions temporarily

Connection Timeout

  • Check Binance status at status.binance.com 
  • Try again in a few minutes
  • Contact support if the issue persists

Security Best Practices

  1. Regular Rotation — Change your API keys every 3-6 months
  2. Monitor Activity — Check Binance’s API activity logs
  3. Separate Keys — Use a dedicated key just for Mayson
  4. Enable 2FA — Always keep 2FA enabled on Binance
